The Kaleidoscope, a spectacular piece of diamond jewellery, has won the Fancy Coloured Diamond category as well as the Supreme Award in the Diamond Guild of Australia Jewellery Design Awards 2023! This amazing piece of wearable art has been recognised by the competition judges for its exceptional beauty, innovation, craftsmanship and uniqueness.
The breathtaking necklace, designed with interchangeable components, can be worn in a number of ways and features a fully functioning kaleidoscope. It showcases the beauty and versatility of natural coloured diamonds, not only in the polished state but also in their rough (natural) forms.
Looking through the Kaleidoscope and rotating the baguette set base, the viewer can see the changing patterns made magically by the loose coloured diamonds as they turn within.
The Kaleidoscope has a total diamond weight of 32.26cts, including 23.49cts of natural coloured polished and rough diamonds. The rough diamonds include a magnificent matched pair of yellow octahedrons, as well as a cognac macle and a most unusual, bi-colour “wand” shape. The colours include champagne, yellow, cognac, orange, blue and pink diamonds.
Michael, Jacob and Nadia Neuman were delighted to accept the Supreme Award at the DGA event on the Gold Coast. The Kaleidoscope is now on view in our QVB boutique, Mondial Pink Diamond Atelier, and we invite everyone to visit and come see this outstanding, one-of-a-kind piece of highly-awarded Australian jewellery.
