The Kaleidoscope

There is only one like it in the world

The Kaleidoscope began as an idea about how natural coloured diamonds could be experienced, not just admired from a distance, but interacted with. The result is a necklace with a fully functioning kaleidoscope at its centre. Look through the eyepiece, rotate the base, and the loose coloured diamonds inside begin to move, champagne, yellow, cognac, orange, blue and pink, shifting into ever-changing patterns as the light catches them.

32.26 carats in total. 23.49 carats of natural coloured diamonds, polished and rough,  including a matched pair of yellow octahedrons, a cognac macle, and a bi-colour diamond in an unusual wand shape. The necklace is designed with interchangeable components, so it can be worn in multiple ways.

Designed by Nadia and made by Mondial’s craftspeople, The Kaleidoscope won the Fancy Coloured Diamond category and the Supreme Award at the Diamond Guild of Australia Jewellery Design Awards 2023, before being named Champion of Champions in 2025.

Michael, Jacob and Nadia Neuman accepted the Supreme Award together on the Gold Coast, three generations of a family that has spent over 60 years building something worth celebrating.

The Kaleidoscope was originally displayed at our QVB boutique, where Mondial called home for over 30 years. It is now on view at our Strand Arcade boutique. We’d love for you to come and see it.
